Ar nos Fawrth y 24ain o Fai bydd Clwb Beicio Dwyfor yn cynnal TT “non aero” ar y cwrs 10 milltir Llanystumdwy i Aberech ag yn nol. Bydd y ras yn cychwyn am 7yh gyda cofrestru yn agor am 6yh yn y maes parcio wrth y tai cyngor. Bydd y digwyddiadd yn agored i unryw un dros 14(bydd pawb o dan 18 angen ffurflen caniatad CTT i gystadlu). Rydym wedi penderfynu ar ychydig o rheolau “non aero” i wneud y digwyddiad yn deg i pawb.

•Dim helmedau TT, mae helmed lôn “aero” yn dderbyniol

Energy Cycling Club’s Time Trial – Tuesday 10th May 20160

A quick reminder to everyone, that the first of the Energy Cycling Club’s open time trials is on Tuesday evening.

The event is being held on Aberdesach to Llanaelhaearn and back to Aberdesach course (D2/20).

The distance is 10 miles, and is the first in the club “Best All Rounder” competition, something new for club members in 2016. This is a part of a series of six time trial type events, including hill climbs and is open to all club members. Points will be awarded to riders based on their placings at the end of each event. At the end of the series the rider with the most points will be the BAR. As usual there are various categories up for grabs, for both male and female riders, and age groups from Juniors through to Super Vets...

Energy Cycling Club’s Gwynedd Cycling Association 2 UP Team Time Trial – Thursday 21st April 20160

The first of the Gwynedd Cycling Association series of time trials for 2016 is this Thursday on the Aberdesach/Llanwnda/Aberdesach course. Meeting place is Aberdesach Beach Car Park, start time is 7.01 pm. Please see link below for full details.

Please note that this is an entry in advance only event. Entries closed on Monday 11th April 2016. The start sheet has been e-mailed to all competitors who provided an address.

Aberdesach-Llanwnda-Aberdesach 10 mile team time trial.

A quick heads up for you all mad keen competitors out there. Its less than four weeks away from the first event in the 2016 GCA Series, and only fourteen days till the closing date for entries (sorry, no entries on the day).

All as per the GCA Competition Rules 2016.

Please send your completed CTT entry forms to me by 11th April at the latest to ensure you get a ride. If you don’t know my postal address, please message me and I’ll send you the details.

Sunday 20th March 2016. A juniors/members (all welcome!!) ride has been organised for Sunday.

Please meet outside the Spar shop on Y Maes in Caernarfon at 9.30am.

The plan is to head over towards Beddgelert, up through Nant Gwynant, and down into Betws y Coed. Climb out of Betws and up the Old Road towards Ysbyty Ifan and Pentrefoelas. From here its north to Nebo and along the roman road. We’ll drop down into Llanrwst and  back into Betws.  Out of Betws and back to Caernarfon via Capel Curig and Llanberis. Approx 81 miles.

The route could be subject to change depending on the road conditions.

Sunday 13th March 2016. A juniors/members (all are welcome) ride has been organised for Sunday.

Please meet in the car park at the end of the cycle path in Llanwnda for 9.30 am.

The plan is to take to the quieter, tougher roads of the Llyn Peninsula. We’ll head for the lanes and over to Pencaenewydd, Y Ffor, Dinas, Sarn, Rhoshirwaun, and to Aberdaron. From Aberdaron its over to Rhiw and onto Mynytho and Pwllheli. Out of Pwllheli and onto Llanystumdwy, and back to Llanwnda. Approx 76 miles.

Saturday 12th March 2016.

A ride/meet for new junior members has been organised for Saturday morning. Please meet outside the Spar shop, on Y Maes in Caernarfon at 9.30am.

The route planned is to go towards Bethesda and on to Ogwen (via the old road), down to Capel Curig. From here we’ll head up and over the Llanberis Pass and back thro’ to Caernarfon. C’fon to C’fon will be approximately 40 miles.

The plan is to head South thro Beddgelert and to Penrhyndeudraeth. Over to Llandecwyn and up along the high level route to Llanbedr, and back to Harlech. Onto Maentwrog, over Rhyd, down to Tremadog and onto Garn and back through the lanes to Caernarfon. Approx 78 miles.

The cafe stop will be decided by mutual agreement on the day.
