This was the 2nd edition of this event, run over some quite demanding roads circling the Snowdon massif. Almost perfect conditions greeted the riders, and fast times were expected from the riders. Most of the riders knew these roads like the back of their hands, others where not so familiar with what lay ahead. Some had come from just down the road, whilst Sarah Ryder and Richard Thomas had traveled over from Hawarden and Coedpoeth near Deeside. Thanks for making the effort guys!!
Once again the battle for top honors was between the men in form, Gerallt Roberts (Clwb Rasio Mona), Garry Ellis and Gareth McGuiness (both Energy Cycles Club). Once again Gareth came out on top, and sliced almost a minute off the course and event record.
Most of the riders who rode the previous edition improved their times. However the most impressive reduction in his time for the 30 miles was Dylan Griffiths (Energy Cycles Club), who cut eight minutes of his previous best.

Sarah’s time isn’t a true reflection of her efforts, as she went off course by four miles. Based on her average speed for the actual distance Sarah covered, her time would have been the region of 1:31.
I’d like to thank all the riders for participating, an encouraging turnout. I hope you were pleased with your efforts.
I would also like to thank Elaine & Derek Rowley of Glaslyn Ices, and Jane Hughes of Beddgelert Woodcraft for kindly donating the winners prizes.
As you are well aware, we needed 14 Marshals and Helpers to enable the event to take place. On behalf of all the riders and myself, I’d like to thank Garry Ellis for once again pulling together a very capable group of men and women. Thanks goes to Caren, Ruth, Dave, Derek, Rob, Dafydd, Llion, Ian, Berwyn, Andrew, Pete, Micheal, Andrew, and last but not least Jason. I would also like to thank the Marshals for taking charge of their positions and guiding the riders safely round the course, great effort!!
