New Junior Members Ride0

Saturday 31st October.

After a pretty successful first ride last week, another  new junior members ride has been organised for Saturday morning. If you have joined Energy Cycling Club over the last few months, and are a youth or junior member, then this is for you.

A quick reminder of things you need to have with you on all rides. Please bring a pump, a puncture repair kit, tyre levers,  and one spare inner tube. Even on a ride of this length you will require food and drink to keep you going. Please bring a cycle bottle containing your favourite drink, along with something light and easy to eat that contains plenty of energy. Its better to bring too much than not enough.

Though the forecast is looking good, winter is closing in quickly. Please wear suitable warm clothing on this ride. For example, for your feet you will require warm comfortable socks and a pair of over-shoes on top of your cycle shoes if necessary. For your legs, a pair of cycle shorts with either leg warmers or full length leggings over the top. For your top, you will need a pair of gloves, warm base layers, a long sleeve cycling jersey (two if its particularly cool), and possibly a gilet. Please bring a wind and waterproof jacket, just in case. Please remember that you MUST wear a suitable cycle helmet. NO HELMET, NO RIDE!!

Please meet outside the Spar shop, on Y Maes in Caernarfon at 10.00am. The ride will be for approximately two hours. The route plan is to go along Y Foryd to Llandwrog, up to Penygroes, Drws y Coed, Rhyd Ddu, Waunfawr and back to Caernarfon. As with last weeks ride, we may alter the route should the weather change.
